Intro:

With its 1000 watt fixture, Agrolux Nederland BV once again proves its capacity to innovate. The ALF-1000 is entirely new and makes a new departure from the approach traditionally used in the branch. The electronic pre-switched lighting fixture features its own electronic ballast, a semi-open reflector with heat shield and a double ended 1000 watt lamp produced in Germany.
The first ALF1000 fixtures were installed in 2008. The malfunction percentage after delivery is < 2% annually. Please send us an email if you would like to receive a list of references.

Certification:

ALF1000 fixtures are certified according to EN 60598-1:2004, EN 61347-1:2008, EN61347-2-9:2001+A1:2003+A2,2006. All the fixtures have CE marking and comply with all the relevant standards including EMC. For a copy of the original documents, please see the documentation section of our website.

Housing:

The ALF-1000 housing is an extremely compact design made of aluminium that has been powder coated white. The entire light fixture remains cool thanks to the use of energy-efficient electronics, cooling ribs on the housing and a heat shield.

Electronic ballast:

The ALF-1000 fixtures feature an electronic ballast. A characteristic of the ALF-1000 is the special position of the electronic ballast. The electronic ballast used on this model is equipped as standard with an overvoltage protection feature, so that any damage caused by overvoltage is avoided. The electronics ensure the output is regulated at a constant level, even if the voltage fluctuates.
All the fixtures are supplied with a low inrush current. The inrush current is the instantaneous input current drawn by an electrical device when first turned on. Using a low inrush current enables cheaper switches to be used.

Reflector:

The reflector system used is semi-open. The reflector was developed in Germany. The semi-open design ensures the temperature of the lamp does not become too high, as too high temperatures effectively reduce the working life of lamps. The reflector system is made of a specially treated aluminium alloy type MIRO 9, with a light reflection of 95%. The hammered pattern of the material gives excellent uniformity of the reflector system and radiates the light deep into the crop. The heat shield mounted on the reflector keeps the electronics cool. The reflector can be dismantled quickly and is easy to clean.

Lamp:

The lamps used in the system are from German manufacturer Advanced UV Light. The lamps are produced in the so-called double ended version. The lamps can also be used in any existing fixtures.

Installing the fixtures:

Installing the light fixtures couldn't be easier. All our fixtures are equipped with the Wieland plug system. The dust and waterproof Plug&Play system makes installation even quicker and safer.
